One Child
Torey had gone along way with Sheila but she still had two major problems that was bothering Torey. First she still refused to do paperwork, she would crumble it up, scribble all over, and just gaff it off. Sometimes she would pretend she's doing the work but her work would never make it to the correction basket. This made Torey very angry and debated if she should come at her a different way, a way to force her to do the work. This did not go very well and Sheila just refuses to do paperwork. The other problem she had was she would retaliate against other kids. One time a kid kicked snow on her and she tore up all her artwork that the other kid loved so much. I believe in sheila though she had improved so much and you can't expect a young child like her especially what she has been through to change in one day.

Do you think that a child with this many problems can really be expected to fit in with a regular class? Especially one that sounds so traditional? I don't know. I wish Sheila could tell her side of the story -- how she felt, what she was thinking...
ReplyDeleteI've read your previous post for this story and I think the book is interesting. This girl is really something and I feel like she could turn out to be the best person in the world. After all those who actually experience hardship in the beginning of their life ends up making a great turn and improving themselves. Great post!
